31. 1. 2012 Dear visitors of the Coal Mining Museum of Slovenia in Velenje we would like to inform you that our museum re-opens the aboveground part presumably at the beginning of March 2012. In this part of the museum you will see a rich collection of the tradition of Slovenian coal mining, the development from the first findings to the world-famous mining method of Velenje. You can also see the history of the Velenje Coal mine, a miner's apartment before the year 1930, the Black wardrobe, the bathroom, a legend of the jump over the leather apron, a museum shop and gallery in the White wardrobe. We will establish a new collection of measurement and geodetic devices.
