Rock hammers
For as long as it has been known, the mining emblem has been a pair of hand-held excavation tools that differ from one another yet are, individually, essentially identical, used for extracting various ores from deposits: one for the right hand, the other for the left, which today, in that arrangement, are scarcely used anywhere.
The two tools constituted an inseparable unit in operation; neither would commence excavation without the other.
